I was under the assumption that Mercedes only made IDI diesels before the CDI.

Also, if you pick any MB diesel 1996 or newer, you're likely to run into ECU issues.

It's easy to mess with the odo in the gauge cluster...all you need is VAG-COM and a computer.

The ECU has its own odo which can't be altered.
