Removeing ignition switch W 108 1970 SE

Any ignition switch removal Experts or experienced by Chance >
I am wanting to remove the ignition switch

(1) I Know how to remove the instrument Cluster

(2) I know how to Remove the Back Part of the ignition switch
>>> (and that may be all I need ? I hope ? )
(3) Its the entire ignition switch removal that I am concerned with

I Know their is a10MM Bolt you must remove that once removed the switch is still Not Moving as if still bolted in ?
*************************************************

I understand their is a Steering lock Pin somewhere ? where is that ?
Where is This Pin and exactly How do I remove it ? a Magnet ? what ?
Once the Pin is removed will the Ing Switch come right out ? (wire harness removed from back)

OR IS THEIR more I must do to remove it ? a Hidden Bolt ? something like that > I have tried to remove these switches before and failed it is very hard it seems any Help deeply appreciated > although I have tried before

I have never been able to completely remove a W 108 Ing Switch
So asking for Help >

*******************************************************
Why I must do this : ( a W 108 Starter Solenoid is the Relay )

( all of a sudden the starter does not Turn >the Wire to the Solenoid on the starter receives no 12 Volts to engage when the ignition switch is turned to
Crank ? / If I use a Hot wire to this wire on the solenoid key on the motor starts >

I have 12 V to the Starter main battery Cable Connect on Starter > But nothing ( no voltage ) to small connect on the Solenoid on Crank .
( The Solenoid on a w 108 is the Relay and is a part of the Solenoid )
As I Can't get my hand to the ignition switch as I Have air Con until I remove the radio I don't know if the back of the ignition switch has become loose yet or broken . / The Auto Trans Neutral Safety Switch (NSS) seems ok and moving the Shift Selector ( PRN32 )around on crank position makes no difference ? /The Wiring Hook-up driver side firewall looks Fine and clean . but perhaps needs further testing ? I don't know what wire is what humm
***********
Update ( I still want to know how to remove that F****** Ing Switch)
Before tearing that Dash apart and greasing My Arm up to reach through the radio Hole ***
With assistant I tested the Wiring 6 wire connector on the Firewall Drivers side near the steering Column and found that the Top Left Post Gets Power on Crank on Crank on Crank Position Only ! ( 12V ) So The Ing Switch works !!
Then since I already Checked the Starter works I removed the 4 Wire NSS
( Neural Safety Switch ) Wiring Hook up and plugged it into a Spare NSS I had from a1972 Mercedes SE W108 and the Starter works and motor starts up >
However that said I also discovered it works in any Gear at all makes no difference so that switch is bad also .
Posting a Pic of the wiring Firewall Hook up for those who may want to check for no Crank of starter
I am so Happy taking that Dash apart is Not a happy camper job at all

with the cluster out, you can see the 10mm bolt holds a clamp that wraps around the switch assembly. Remove the bolt and remove the clamp.

with the key turned to the "1" position (when the car would be running, the pin would be free to be pressed in. Look for the pin near that clamp. All you will see is a small silver spot against the black of the steering column sleeve for the lock.

Press the button in and you should be able to move the assembly away from the steering column just a little. (The key will be keeping you from moving it a lot.

With the key in the "1" position, you should be able to remove the pretty sleeve that wraps around the key cylinder. Of course the key keeps you from fully removing it. So pull it out a little for now.

Turn the key back to "0" and remove the key, that pretty cover and finally, the lock assembly from the sleeve in the steering column.

A fair amount of wiggling and words of color (blue mostly) will be necessary.

Hopefully this can help you rebuild / adjust - this was my culprit as well. It's rare to have the actual ignition itself fail.
