Adjustment of Driver's Seat

Good afternoon. I have a 1997 S-320 and the seat adjustor on the driver's door will not allow me to adjust the back portion of my seat to an upright position. It is stuck in a somewhat minor decline.

Each time I attempt to move the seat it just makes a clicking noise. The other functions of the seat appear to be operational.

Any suggestions? Is this something that only the dealer can repair--or something that I can do?

When my seat did that, it was b/c the switch wasn't working any more. Fairly easy to change in my '90 190. Had to pop off the buttons and remove the facepiece, then unscrew 2 bolts that hold the switch in. Finally, unplug the wires. Reverse steps for installation.
