Good morning everyone. I need advise on how to lower the idle on my baby. 1983 300TD. Haynes manual states that this is best left to the dealer but I would like to try the board first and see if I can adjust it myself. Thanks in advance.

THE IDLE STOP ADJUSTER IS ON THE INBOARD SIDE OF THE INJ. PUMP NEAR THE REAR.BEFORE ADJUSTING THE STOP MAKE SURE THAT ALL THE LIKNAGES ARE WELL LUBED AND OPERATE FREELY.

thanks
First of all, I forgot to thank you for the tip on the orings. It worked. Regarding my idle stop, I messed with it already. It is barely touching the arm, and when I loosen it, it doesn't make a difference. I can push on the stop sticker and the idle will come down some more. Any other advise is much appreciated.
