Misfiring 300E Fixes itself
So last week I posted about my 1991 300E that suddenly developed a misfire at a red light. I got it to my office approx. 500 yeards away, parked it for approx. 10 hours and when I went to start it later that night to limp home ( 1 mile), it started right up with no misfire; ran great to home and all weekend with no misfire, hesitation, or anything.
If I didn't know any better, it actually runs BETTER now than before the misfire. Any ideas? Nick |

Perhaps build up on one or more spark plugs that came off/cleared itself....no idea.

Time to check your plugs, leads, distributor cap and rotor and possibly coil.
Best tune up for a I6 Benz engine - replace all above |

Did you wash your engine recently?

short trip
As a spinedoc you should know better. One mile is an easy walk to work but very hard on your engine.

x2. or a wetness problem caused by weather. I'd look at my plug wires and or connections and my dist cap for cracks, etc.
