EPC actually stands for "Electronic Power Control".
My S 500 L has it and funny thing, the owner's manual do not mention anything about it. I asked the dealer' service manager and he says it is related to the accelerator power module. It comands inputs from the gas pedal to the engine. The two codes you mentioned at the end of your post clearly states that the car was originally manufactured for the U.S. market, especifically for the state of California. Now, what is a Californian S 600 L doing in Turkey??? I would be particuliarlly picky about this car: check its full history, check all engine and VIN (which being an american version it should have them stamped in various places) number plates. See if any of the plates have been removed or altered. I would also check Interpol for any references about this particular vehicle, and why not, if you can, run a "carfax" check to see what shows up.
