The new cover better come painted black oem, or I will not be happy. I am getting tired of jerking around with this cover.
I had the head machined, cleaned, new cam & rockers. I installed new chain, guides, tensioner, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, rotor seat, H20 pump, a/c condenser, dryer, painted the exh. manifolds, & all new gaskets. Tonight I took off the front fenders.... I have new ones. Fitted 01 E430 wheels with gil racing spacers, new bilsteins, brakes, rotors, ball joints, & bearings. And I am now prepping to full repaint it from mint green, to black. ........ and playing around with this wonderful valve cover! |

Wow, that's a lotta work, sounds $$ too.
Hey, how about painting the valve cover with the same paint as car. I think it would be kinda cool to have a perfect match. Maybe paint some other stuff too? I did my Air cleaner, valve covers, intake, heads, water pump, alternator, timing cover, balancer, PS (tank, pump, box), waterneck, shocks, frame etc. Maybe it would've been easier to list the things I didn't paint... Anyway, all double jet black. Exterior body is super bright white. |
