And why is that? Do you think the hate lust on the right towards Obama has anything to do with it ?

Tea Party - people who worked to build a life for themselves and want government to STF out of it.

Coffee Party - people who don't have a life and want the government to give them one.

For the record, I drink both coffee and tea.

BTW, to whoever used the term "teabaggers" to describe the tea party members, I'd be careful with the use of that term - "teabagging" is a slang term for a certain sexual act, and calling someone a "teabagger" could be as offensive to them as calling someone of our President's heritage the "n" word.

Whatever this is, its good if it sucks votes away from the 2-party system that is failing us. They have created a 2-headed monster in Washington, and its mission is no longer to serve and represent the Constitution, but to perpetuate its own bloated existence. In the mean time, most Americans' wallets are feeling lighter and lighter.

So your not against giving Tax credits to small businesses for healthcare? http://www.egovmonitor.com/node/34024 Under the President’s Proposal, small businesses will receive $40 billion in tax credits to support coverage for their workers beginning this year. Consistent with the Senate bill, small businesses with fewer than 50 workers would be exempt from any employer responsibility policies.

I say "might" because even with veto-proof majorities in both houses AND the Presidency in democrat hands, they have not been able to govern over the past year.
Whats not true about my post ???

Do you think the group is fake or something ???

The biggest problem with our current sytem is at election time te Repubs run to the right and the dems run to the left to get the nomination then they both run to the center for the general. It stated in one of my classes (a long time ago) that america is a 40-40-20 county.
40 percent will vote R no matter what
40 Percent will vote D no matter what
20 percent are the ones you need for election the true swing-progressives
This may be alittle off topic but until the congress has to live by the same laws they pass for the rest of us peons nothing will change.

RichC- I am politically confused, I like the R's for their stance on national defence and lower taxes, The D's for their stance on womens rights and medical privacy, And the libertarians for thaer stance on if you are not hurting anyone with your actions is it really a crime.

Yea, its just that simple.

Democrats are all lazy idiots looking for a teat to suck on.

While republicans are all hardworking captains of industry.

Where did you get such a slanted opinion ?

And just how did you read that into my post? No comment intended about R's or D's. Just the people in the Tea and Coffee movements.

Many flavors of D's, many flavors of R's, and for the record I'm neither. Nor am I a member of either of the above two movements. Best classification for me, if you must have one, would be an "I".

R's got booted out of power in Congress for good reason, and I thought Bush was a frakkin moron that only got elected because of his last name. But now the D's are making an even bigger mess of things than the R's did in the previous 8 years, and we replaced GW with someone even more incompetent.

My politics aren't left or right, but up or down. If I think my reps did a good job representing my interests and did something resembling their jobs, they get a thumbs up and my vote at election time - otherwise they get a thumbs down and I vote to replace them - regardless of what letter they have after their names on the ballot.

Good grief, where were you educated ?
Why must you attack someones education level rather than respond directly to his/her post?

Because RichC thinks he knows all the answers - he always does. He's always right and everyone else is always wrong. On top of that, he's so busy telling everyone how great the punch tastes that he doesn't even look down to see what he's drinking. It's sad, really.

Exactly. To get nominated, the candidates have to pass the "litmus test" of the "true believers" in any party - ie, run to the far left or far right - while most of the general populace is somewhere to one side or the other of center. And you get the inevitable result - a candidate on both sides that no one likes, so people hold their noses and vote for the lesser of two evils, the one they think will do the least damage.

Same here - none of the parties get a passing grade on the majority of issues I'm concerned with - R's score a couple here, D's score a couple there, and so on. As one poster said, they seem more concerned with perpetuating the two-headed monster, and IMHO the two party ruling class, they've created in DC.

LOL, that's exactly why I call them teabaggers.

I'm with you up to that last part, which is why I'm a registered Republican. There are some good Republican politicians and there are some who need to be fired. There are some bad Democrat politicians and then there are some really bad Democrat politicians. The last good one I was aware of retired from politics some years ago. This way I get to vote in the primaries and support the better Republicans over the worse ones. When it comes to the general election, I will vote mostly Republican, occasionally Libertarian, but never Democrat.

Because there is nothing to respond to.
It was broad brush name calling.
