6 " Aluminum rims - set of 4 for sale / 14"
These are tradionally found on the 123 diesals.
They come in two sizes, the 5 1/2 " and I belive the 6 " versions. This is the larger set. Highly coveted to reduce weight. 14" rim. $ 900 I also have the smaller set, both sets are not pristine and come with some blemishes. Northern Virginia, will ship. |

Stock alloy "hubbies" rims come with a white stripe painted on raised center circular area. If they are 6" the stripe is solid. If they are 5.5 inch the stripe is dashed. If they are steel there is no stripe. Have these been repainted or are they steel?
Do you have pics of the 5.5 versions you have for sale? How much for those individually? |

5 1/2 " single rim
Here is the picture you requested of the 5 1/2 " rim.
Tried to wash it to present its true condition. Gave up when fingers were going numb. He wants $150 for a single rim, or $600 for 5 of them. |

This past summer, I sold a set of 4 5 -1/2" light alloy rims no blemishes with 4 almost new tires mounted for $200. Did I screw myself over?

The question is do they sell at those prices on Ebay. I had mine listed for more than 6 months before they sold. Somebody here got a great deal.

I am very happy with the set I bought from you and I think the price was about right for the rims alone. $900 for a set is more than a little crazy. |

I suspect if you're patient, you can buy the 5.5 in the $25 a piece range, buying them one at a time. Not sure how the price jumps to 4-5 times that other than someone wanting the set at that moment vs. "hanging out" for the one at a time deal.
I bought a 6" aluminum solid white line rim for $30.00 bucks off Craigslist. I suspect that after a year or two, buying them one at a time, I will have a set of 4 for around $125 to $150.00 bucks. So, did you screw yourself ? I don't think so unless the rubber was really nice. |
