The hardtop button stays illumniated as does the rollbar switch. I tried to remove the hardtop as per the instructions: set parking brake, lower windows, turn key to lock position, and actuate switch within 10 seconds. All I hear is a relay or switch trying to work, but nothing. I have put a new battery in and I had to set the radio code, does the car need to be reset also? Confusing any HELP???!!!

If you replaced the batter you will need to resync your windows. put them in the up position, hold both window buttons down (up position) and count to 3. That should fix it. Your engine can not be running to remove the hard top on this model. The ignition has to be on. You reset the rollbar the same way.

I took the SL to the local MB dealer, they put it on the computer and scanned for codes. The main code was a low/no battery code. This locks the hardtop out, and illuminates the hardtop and rollbar buttons. Problem fixed!!! And as far as the windows, I reset them as I was instructed by the members, THANK YOU!! It was suggested that if the vehicle is to be stored a battery tender be used. This will switch on and off to trickle chsrge the battery when needed.
