The 500E's not-so-little sister?

I wonder how many other W124036 owners are more than a little pleased with Porsche's involvement in the car's development and construction? For me, that heritage also created an interest in the Rossle-Bau factory and its other famous creations: the Porsche 959 and Audi RS2.

For those interested, I've posted a couple of articles on the RS2 at need2speed. The first article stated that production of the 1995 RS2 didn't start until the 500E run was finished, however, I have seen pictures of the factory with both vehicles going down the assembly lines....I think there was some cross-over from late 1994 to January of 1995 when the last E500 was made.

here's proof....

Attached is a pic taken off a video of my friends at the porsche factory at the time my friend was picking up his carrera (european delivery). You will see that the audis were alongside the last of the E500s. They were the E500 Ltd., which were the last batch of E500s produced complete with the Evo II wheels, all destined for the Swiss market, I understand....
