1979 Mercedes 300TD For Sale *$1500*
Solid TD for sale in Minneapolis, MN. $1500/OBO

Clean, solid, reliable runner.

Needs some TLC to make it perfect. Cosmetics are great. Car is orig from SoCal.

194.5K miles
Starts, runs, shifts great
Very little rust
Clean, tear free interior
Heat works
A/C works, pulley broke last winter however
New front tires
Tie rod ends 15k miles ago
Front tires 10k miles ago
Car starts in sub zero temps- I drove it all last winter, one of our coldest in recent history
Windows, lights, stereo, horn work
Extra oil filters
Extra CC amp - works (?)
Extra set of steelies


Needs:
Front brake rotors, pads and brake booster
Drips some oil - smokes some too. I add about 2 qts every 5k miles
Sunroof stuck close
Rear hatch lock jammed
New rust on bottom of hatch
SLS is ok, but weeps
One cylinder is low on compression, others are on the low end of OK.

How long has it been driven in MN?

It's seen one winter, last year. I just put it into the heated garage for the winter, but can easily be moved around.

It could make the drive (it made it from CA to MN 8 yrs ago). No guarantees however. Needs power brake booster to be safe. Can drive as is, but the pedal is hard.

I'm driving it now (just got it out of my parent's garage). Will drive until next week when my BMW is repaired. Heat works great! I can take a few pix at work and post tomorrow night.
