Question 606 Replacement Nozzles ~ Where To Buy?

i have been searching for replacement nozzles for my '98 E300 and all i've come across are Bosio nozzles. are there any others available for this car, other than Bosio or Bosch (made in India?!?) ? if so, please put me on to them. if not, of the two available (Bosio, Bosch) which would you recommend?

Mine lasted x2 your mileage without ever being pulled. What's wrong with yours that they need replacement rather than being rebuilt?

I know for sure the Bosch replacement Nozzles for the 617.952s are from India but no one has clarified that is so on the 606 Engines.
We are not supposed to mention the competition with Pelican so I cannot mention the Name of the Comapny but a search for Monark Injector Nozzles ought to take you to the site.

They are made in Germany, they work fine and the are cheaper then the Bosios.

Since greazzer is rebuilding the Injectors he could be a good source of info on them.

Another issue is there is a lot of counterfeit Bosch Injector Nozzles out there and most of the reported ones seem to come from eBay.

TM, reason I'm looking is because I pulled the #2 injector on a recent repair (clogged after valve seal replacement...or so I thought). Checked the spray pattern before the repair and it pee'd all over the place starting at 1200 psi prior to soaking in brake cleaner. After reassembly, I did get a decent (not great) spray pattern, and it popped correctly at 1950 psi. On multiple repeats, I did get some streaming between pumps. Nothing awful, but just not great. When I had my '82 and '83 617's, I used monarck nozzles with success. Great spray pattern and that rapid fire chatter with no leaks during strokes on my pop tester. Cars both ran like a dream. Sure would like to know if 606 monarck nozzles are available. I'm not too keen on the cheap-o Bosch replacements, nor the Italian made ones. I checked peachparts.com for 606 nozzles, and no dice.

Bosio nozzles are great. 100% made in Italy. very high quality.

They have a great reputation in the VW world, I ran various sets. I have a set in my 603/124 car. they are great. They required very little shimming, and produced a fantastic atomized spray on the pop-test.

In my opinion, Bosios are the benchmark. People like monarcks because they perform (nearly) as good for a slightly cheaper price (then Bosio)

call( i d parts . com)

they probably don't have 606 Bosio nozzles in stock, but they can get them. They do stock nozzles for the 617's

maybe Pelican can too.

The Monark Nozzles are not considered High Performance Nozzles. They are just better quality replacements then the Bosch ones are.

In the Past the Monark Nozzles were like $22-$24 each. That was nearly 1/2 what the Bosio Nozzles cost back then. Since that time the cost of the Monaks has risen but still not as high as the Bosios.

Some People say the Bosios make more noise at idle. Some People like that and some don't.
I guess it also depends on the condition and state of tune of your Engine.

I just put new Bosio Injector Nozzles in my '98 E300TD with 298k miles and they work great. I bought them from DieselGiant.com, and had them drop shipped to Greaser who did a great job rebuilding my injectors. A very noticeable improvement in power, and smooth accelleration.

I picked up a set of Monarks for my 602 from Sean Watts on this site. Don't know if he's still around but you can try a pm...

I have a 1995 E300d, close to same injector. I had my injectors pulled, and sent to Kerma TDI, which balanced, ultrasonic cleaned, installed new bosio nozzles, and did a digital pop test on them.

they were a hell of an improvement over the old dog ones.

They'll also sell you the nozzles for you to DIY if you want.

Your TDI Performance specialists! TDI Tuning Specialists. Your Exclusive Dealer for Bosio Nozzles in North America. Everything VW TDI related. Featuring VW turbo diesel engine maintenance and upgrade parts for your Volkswagen, and ECU tuning. | Kerma

give 'em a call, I was really happy with them.
