ok, i removed it from the SDL at the junkyard without much of any problem! almost didn't have to remove the IP but this one pin got in the way so there was no room for the chain to be pushed off the sprocket all the way. i just removed the IP and wiggled it out. i would like a better approach on the good engine. can this be removed? i didn't appear to be a long allen bolt but it was quite dirty. thank you all so very much for the help so far! i was confusing this with the om617 because i have pulled my IP on that many times and the IP shaft doesn't carry the "weight" of the chain on the 617. this is all new to me and i enjoy learning all this as i just got my first om603!
