1984 300D Euro Blower Motor

Is there a difference between a Euro and a US W123 Blower Motor. Mine is on its way out(Smells Burnt). I have the manual climate control on mine. There is one on Ebay can you guys tell me if it may work?

It does not look like the Blower setup on My Federal 84 300D. On mine the connector is part of and attached to the Plastic Housing and the Plastic Housing attaches to the Bottom of the Motor.
I will try to find a Pic and post it later.

1983 300d euro blower motor removal???

I cannot figure out how to remove this blower motor. It's not like the American models conveniently located under the glove box. Can anyone tell me how to remove the blower motor on a 1983 300 D European model nonturbo?

The blower used on Euro models with the manual system AND FACTORY AC, is essentially the same as used on the US 240D, and is located under the glovebox. On Euro models WITHOUT FACTORY AC, it's completely different and inconveniently located inside the heater unit.

Can someone please tell me how to access the euro blower motor with manual controls? One machanic told me that I could get to it after I remove the windshield wiper assembly. He said I could access it from outside below the wiper blades. Is this true???

No...that was 107 and 124 chassis around 1980/90s.

I suggest you go to, eBay Germany and using Google translate, find an OE part.

Awhile back when I inquired on the Forum about finding a replacement heater-core for my Euro TD, someone E-mailed me some FSM pages covering the non-AC W123 heater setup. IIRC, according to the FSM, the heater assy needs to come out of the dash and the case split to replace the blower. My TD has factory AC so my blower is behind the glovebox, like the typical US W123 model.

Happy Motoring, Mark

Both my manual 85 Euros have factory AC, so I dont know about the blower motor being anywhere but the normal US spic location.

The factory AC in the Euro W123 is pretty much the same as the US versions.
The non-AC 123 heater systems were very different and not imported here.
