Sears Christmas Tool Sales

Any one of you interested in buying new tools, Sears has some good Tool sales this time of the year. they change weekly, and or sometimes just for a few hours in the evening. couple weeks back they had an extra 10% off between 6pm and 9pm.

I was down there this afternoon and picked up the socket set that removes damaged Nuts and Bolts.

Item# 52061 5 piece 1/2" drive, removes 14mm, 15mm, 16mm, 17mm and 19mm.

Item# 52060 6 piece 3/8 drive, removes 8mm, 10mm, 11mm, 12mm, and 13mm.
This set comes with a blow molded case, and has the spaces for the above set to fill it up, which gives you 10 socket extractors.
Not a bad price, $20 instead of $40.

Item# 52154 screw-Out, damaged Screw removers. a 3 bit set to remove Phillip, Slot torx etc...

Each item was $19.99 marked down to $9.99.
I bought all three.

They also have a set of Gear Wrenches @ 1/2 price. think it is $35.00

Charlie

Charlie,
Can't keep a good man down.
Out picking the deals at Sears already!

Hmm, those tools remove damaged nuts, huh?
Did you have a complication with your procedure that you don't want to talk about?

Anyway, thanks for the tip.
Got a Sears outlet around the corner.

Welcome back,
Jeff

With both long and short handles is a must. I use the long handle to get at the bolt holding the alternator bracket to the engine. (up top)

The tools I listed are made in the USA.

I keep waiting for the long handle flex head 1/4" wratchet to go on sale. can you believe they want $40 for it? when a 3/8 flex head will be cheaper.

Hey Jeff , no complication from the procedure, just have to be careful to not go up.down stairs, lifting anything over 10#, do any stretching until the vein/artery heals. If it starts to leak, my wife is 911 me to emergency. one time in there was enough.

I can walk around, just can`t do anything, or my wife will kick my rear.

I have a mix of Cornwell, Snap-On, Mac, Balkamp and Matco.

I use Craftsman for almost everything. I use Snap-On screwdrivers, Allen Bits, Torx and Splined drive bits for reliability.

For everything else, i.e., low torque applications, I use Craftsman...

Watch the sears outlet stores. A bunch of them got in the professional wrench sets and they went fast and cheap. I'm so mad I missed out on them. I have one craftsman pro wrench. It's a nice long, fully polished wrench. I want the set!

I went to Home Depot for a couple 7 1/4" saw blades, then stopped at the Sears store to pick up a set of the 44281 Flex beam one`s. they only had one set left. headed over to pay for it, and then noticed someone stole the 19mm from the set.

there was only one set left of the 44006 Flex head, and 2 were missing on that set.

The guy said the manager would mark them down and place them in the clearance section. wonder if it will be marked from the full retail or sale price? I`ll head back in a while to check.

These prices are great, I saw one indivual 19mm Craftsman gear type wrench, and it was priced $26.99

Thumbs up

The ones here are having significant price cuts even on the large kits. I have needed some 1/2" drive deep metric and SAE sockets for a while...

Craftsman 43 pc. 1/2-in. Drive Socket Module - Tools - Ratchets & Sockets - Sockets & Socket Sets

Hell, that comes with a better 1/2" ratchet than I have...plus extensions and more shallow sockets than I have currently. I was going to buy some BMW parts in the spring to make my 745i go fast, but with tool blow outs like this it can wait.

Some of the 300-500 piece kits are reduced $100-300 too. Big drop if you are new to your own auto repair.
