On my 87 300D I've repaired the clock and am in the process of putting everything back together. There is a spring about 3/4" long and 1/4" in diameter that fell out and I have know idea where it goes. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks for your help.

i believe that spring is either to the odometer reset or the clock reset.
it pops out when you take the gauge face off. its been a while, but i remember this happening to me. enjoy your working clock :-)
