Very cool. Not sure I'd have passed a truck on a two lane highway though. I too would like to see pictures of the tow bar attachments.
Where was the 6% grade? Raton Pass?

I used a pair of $9.99 magnetic towing lights from Harbor Freight.

The trunk lid (doors and hood too) are aluminum so I had to mount them on the roof. That lasted until I got up to speed and either hit a bump or a wind gust. One of them came off but did not reach the ground to get busted up. So, I wedged them in the back window and they were fine there the whole way home. I turned on the car's parking lights when it was dark out.

I had one highway patrol ride next to me for a while checking me over. I must have look OK because he didn't feel the need to get to know me better.

Yup, the same self-centering tendency that makes the car track straight when you drive it will make it follow the other car when you tow it. Just don't try to back up.

BTW, something to watch out for is that some states/provinces are now requiring brakes on the towed vehicle, just like they would for a heavy trailer.
