Quick 617 Alda Question

Is the alda adjustment on 617s the same as 603s? Counterclock wise will increase idle fuel? The SD is kind of slow off the line and my friend wants me to play with the alda a little. It runs 80mph like a champ but it just doesn't get off the line very fast, all filters are new. The car also does not smoke at all, even if you try to make it smoke it won't smoke. So we wanted to tweak on the alda ever so slightly. Not because we want it to smoke, but that says to me the alda may be in a pretty conservative adjustment.

How do you guys break the cap off?

The operation of the adjustments is the same. Just crush the cap with pliers and peel the "thimble" apart. It's as thin as foil.
