Fuel injection training manual

I found a book at half price books that seems like a college manual . the reason Im posting is it really goes into details on our fuel injection systems. It uses the M,MW, and P pumps as examples. Title is automotive and small truck fuel injection systems by Robert N. Brady. Found some at barnes & noble for as low as 3.00 and on amazon as high as 180.00

Theres a whole chapter on Mercedes diesels . Setting valves, adjusting ADA, ALDA , pump timing, injector repair and cleaning. A whole lot of questions Ive seen asked on this forum.

The kicker is I got this book for GM tbi info which dosent go into as much detail as the bosch type systems. Its been sitting on my shelf since 05 not knowing the diesel info was as informative as it was. Gas is also a good read so maybe the general tech could benefit from it also.

I know it would be a bit much to ask you to copy it, but when you get the time can you post the title, publisher and ISBN (number by the bar code.) That would be awesome.

Thats a good price. I should have put a max amount on what I thought it was worth. I only paid 9.98 at half price. Its a 640 page hardcover . I would think 20.00 to 30.00 would be max. Most specs are given individual cars would need different specs I'm sure but it does give basics on what components are for and how they work and are adjusted . way better than the comic books chilton puts out nowadays.

sorry No bar codes . Published in '85 before price tag gave way to them.

Let me know what you guys think when you get it. I work on hydraulics and just started really getting into the diesel thing . Its helped me to understand the systems and how they work makes adjustment easier when you know what its supposed to be doing.

This book has probably sat dormant on shelves since 86 and now its gonna become a best seller!!!

I think you are right about "instant classic". My internet search shows the cheapest price is $20 +S/H.

I'll probably order it anyway...

Thumbs up

Soot - I think you have created a "run" on these.

I waited until today, and the cheapest was $33 with shipping, and they go way up from there...

Anyway - I am very much interested in learning more about my 300SD, so it will be a valuable addition to the library...

Thanks for the tip!

Don

Thanks soot! Got the book in today, ordered it as soon as you mentioned it and got a very nice copy. (not rub it in, dcotejr )

Skimming through it, I must say I am glad it's now in my library of other informative diesel books.

I've placed three orders for the book now. All have been accepted, but the first two were later canceled on me, because they supposedly had just sold out.

The second seller said he had had the book on his shelf for two years, and had received two orders within two hours of each other.

I'm hopin' third time does it!
