I haven't seen it for years but I do know it's 100% legit. It has pretty much all the AMG wish list items.

"the only real amg"

unless there's engine work done to the car, who cares if it's 'real amg'? before amg was homologized into mercedes, they offered all options 'a la carte', meaning if you just wanted a body kit, or just wheels, you could get just those items.

my point it, unless it's got an amg tuned engine, anyone who retrofits amg parts onto their mercedes and makes it look good, has just as nice a mercedes with amg parts, than a car taken to amg after purchased from mercedes. less valuable? yes. not as nice? no

I personally prefer Labrador Blue over China Blue... after 25 years they actually look pretty similar.
The best colors are the ones available before 1981. Welcome back to the seventies!!!

Black, white, and silver should be proscribed!

Lapis Blue on a S123, I like.

And the 15" Bundts just seals the deal even more.

Those are the 15" Bundts Eric sold to Tippee. Sweet! Came a long way from San Diego to Manila.

It doesn't hold up as well as MB Tex without long-term sustained care and treatment, which most folks didn't do. Tex lasted much longer without much intervention.
Andrew's 240 is the bestest MB color I think. Hopefully he will chime in. The pic of that car in the air craft hanger is awesome!!!
Kudos to all the wonderfully awful colors of the 70's. I would love any of them. It's times like this that I sure do miss the Squash.

China is my only car of color at the moment. {black, silver and white just don't fit the criteria}
looks a lot different w/o the tint and added bike rack. can't wait to see how Squash performs with the euro 300d with manual 4 speed. it's going to be the perfect diaper hauler.

China and Squash looked great together. i feel like i split up the family the day i drove Squash away.

Admire the car, not me. I was blinking!

Thanks MBeige for these great pictures. My pc crashed a while ago and I lost all my good ones except these.

Not sure but I think its "diamond" blue. Like petrol blue this color is very deep and glossy. It changes at dusk to a deep blue

That looks a whole lot like petrol. Nice color combo. First time I've seen a blue interior and liked it.

that's what i have, the labrador. and you're right, it's pretty close to china blue, especially being a florida then texas car until last year. non-faded labrador is excellent however, i'd like to bring it back to what it should be.

but i love a black w123, especially with the full amg treatment. actually, it's hard to enjoy any mercedes with the full amg treatment that's NOT black. it can get pretty miami vice cheesy fairly quickly.

but any color looks good if it's done right and taken care of. like one of boardmongers w123s:

that has the potential to be an old lady color but with the coupe euro bumpers and those sweet wheels, it just makes it look classy .
