Not surprising as Schaeffers is one of the sponsors, but seriously, Delvac Super and Delo 400 do exceedingly well in terms of wear of engine as well as life, there is a forum member Widman who used it on his Toyota 4Runner diesel and went out in expedition in South America, check out his experience with Delo 400.

By the way, even the worst diesel rated synthetic is better than the best dino oil from the 190D days.

As you can see, regular Delvac has flash point equivalent to a synthetic PAO, goes to show the attributes of a well designed mineral oil and the value it reprensents. Check out the superb UOA of Delo in a Powerstroke.

wd8***,that 1976 honda looks intersting ,what did you mate the kabato motor to,an auto or a standard .I was considering this with a 76 cvcc I located with a clean body,whats the hurtles you faced when putting this car together?

The hardest part was the reverse rotation of the Honda engine. I had to adapt the clutch and a second flywheel to the front of the Kubota engine and make a cradle /bellhousing to hold the engine.
