I just purchased an ambient temp gauge for my 87 300TD on Ebay and was asked by the seller if I needed the 4 pin or 5 pin connector. Does anyone know which one the 87 requires?

Mine did, but I bought a newer display and purchased the 5 pin plug from the dealer. It's just a piece of plastic with 5 holes. I think it was 70 cents. I believe there is a thread on here that tells you which wires go where. I would get the newest one that you can.
