If the rear one looks bad should one change the front one as well?
Is it ok to replace old ones with good used ones as long as they don't look torn?
This issue is basic safety/maintenance = avoid used parts, and replace both if one is bad.

Call Phil with the VIN# for the correct parts.

Well, after alot of bad words and lying on my back for several hours, and with amazing help from various threads on this forum, i got the new flex discs in there, haven't tested driving yet, still waiting for my new transmission mount to arrive, hopefully tomorrow.

I x-rayed my discs at work today, just for fun.

How many miles did you have on them?

After reading several of these threads and recognizing some "bouncing" from the rear I decided to look at mine. At 325k the rear is showing far more thread that it should.

My question is... I found this part #W0133-1618698 on several sites for nearly the same price unless I put in a different year car. Then it is cheaper for the same part number. ?? It is my 85 300d with the bad disk and that model year disk is around ~50-60 bucks give or take. However I found the same part for a 79 240d was only ~35-40 bucks. Are these the same part?? Can I get the W0133-1618698 when I found it under the 79 listing or do I have to get the one specifically for the 85?

Needless to say I am now driving my leaky '83 for a few days until I get this fixed.

No, the earlier unit won't work.

I was able to get the right part at a local indie who worked on the car when the PO had it.

Only question I now have is the nuts that came with the hardware kit have a round shoulder on one side of the surface. Does this go against the yoke or away from the yoke? It looks like the nut has sorta an integrated flat washed on one side.

Hi Guys

I am having vibration after changing 2 new flex, balancer disc, engine & gearbox mounts, center bearing+bush. Tried aligning the prop shaft based on the online guide i found. Kinda worried the type of flex disc i got is not of a good quality Anyone got a close-up picture for OEM Merc compare with Lemfoerder, Febi, SGF (mine).

Took these a few nights ago....

Rear flex disk from my W124 230TE.

Driving down the highway at 100 (Kph) and I noted a slight driveline harmonic, then I noticed something black and bouncy shoot out the back of the wagon.

Must look at that when i get home I thought but I assumed it was an exhaust hanger or similar.

A few km from home the slight harmonic turns into a shudder and a few 100 feet from home gets nasty so I coast into the drive.
