1986 300E with five speed manual transmission

1986 300E with five speed manual transmission, cabernet red paint with palomino mbtex interior. I am the second owner, purchased from MB dealer in Princeton, NJ on 2-27-90. Currently has 121,000 miles and in near concours condition. Never experienced any major problems. I have been in love with this car since day one.

Here's a picture of my 1986 300E. Opinions and comments are always welcome.

Hey Craig, you E420 looks really nice, have you consider lowering it with some suspensions mods ?
Ernesto,

That is one great looking 300E. It's a 1986 model????
It gets me more inspired to fix up my car (1993 300E) also located in the South Bay (R.B). I have almost sold it several times, but still enjoying the ride too much.
I hope I can have a chance to see your car up cose.

Here's my 87 300E

I bought this 300E in 95 for next to nothing, and it has been nothing but faithful. I Really, Truly Love and Appreciate this fine automobile. So glad I have never sold it.

Here's a link to some of the stereo stuff. My 300E Pics

The trunk has changed again and the subs are now powered by USAmps.

These are the new USAmps and the RFR3110 Subs. The subs will be replaced with RE XXX or Adire Tumults in the future.

MBZ OE I like the thumper looking sound system you have! Is it a DIY or did you use a local shop (let me know by PM I am interested in installing a box on my rear deck for a couple of 8 in spkrs)
Here's a pic of my '87 300D turbo. Its a fast runner, PO was a CHP officer, kept it out of parking lots! the hood star is removable, it lives in the glovebox

I did/do everything myself. Currently I am working on 2 new fiberglass/MDF subwoofer enclosures that will blend into the trunk sides and leave a nice area in the center of trunk for cargo. They will be hidden under black speaker cloth. The amps hide away as well with the factory trim panel. It is moved back about 10 inches from its original location.

I would highly recommend www.the12volt.com for anyone interested in mobile audio, security, and video. Some retired top-notch experts hang out there and will give you excellent help and advice.
