special tool to remove antenna on W123?
Hi, any advice on removing the external chrome part on my W123 wagon? it has the two indents opposite each other and i can't seem to figure out how to screw it off. The PO unplugged the antenna and i'm thinking there is an internal issue, plus my mast is broken and i'm sure i have to unscrew the chrome part to get it out.
thanks, Chuck ps, i tried a search on this topic but couldn't find anything, i 'm sure this has been covered again and again. |

I don't know about the wagon, but I'd review the DIY links up under Resources button in the upper right corner before unscrewing anything. Plenty of stuff on antennas in there...

Needle nose pliers
I've had no issues using needle nose pliers. I've used the straight ones, but the ones with a right angle bend in the nose is a lot easier to get more torque.
