1995 W124 - Remove Plastic side side panels

How are the plastic panels at the base of the door attached? Are there screws, or are they just 'snapped on'?

Courtesy of the 1995 E420 Left Front Fender I bought at the salvage yard, I see the front fenders have the plastic - snapped on. No screws there. But what about the doors?

Your suggestions for reapplying the plastic is appreciated. The one thing I see is that the plastic clips will be replaced.

I'm planning to have the full car painted, and intend to remove all the plastic and bumpers for separate painting - off car.

Your help is appreciated.

Here's the pictures - panel removal

OK - so no one suggested how to remove the panel - so here are my pictures

1995 E420

The panel on the front fender just pops off, no screws, no glue.

The panel on the door was different - there are several clips on the bottom. They were easily accessed by laying under the door, and popping them off with a screw driver. Yes - each one broke when I popped them - but they were old and brittle.

the top of the panel on the door was 'glued' on. I just took a screw driver to it and pried the panel off the door

I recommend replacing the clips. Therefore just break them as you take them off.

Steps to remove panel from door:
1 - un-screw screw at edge of door
2 - Break clips from bottom
3 - break the seal off the top of the panel - and the piece is removed.
