solex 38 PDSJ carburetor
hi i have a 1967 mercedes benz 110.010 chasis and 121.940 engine with two solex 38 PDSJ . Im looking for kits for my carburetor and i can only find kits for a solex 38 PDSI from Royze i think model no. SO-44K if im not mistaken. My question is can i use this kits for my solex 38 PDSJ? Is this two carb the same?? from what i know the solex 38 PDSJ is installed to a 200 gas 4 cylinder engine while the solex 38 PDSI is installed to a 220/230 6 cylinder engine. thanks

With only one letter different you may be able to... I don't know for sure... but with Weber's the 32/36 dgav and the 32/36 dgev the only difference is in the type of choke.. e electric, a water.... Many carb kits have all the stuff for several carbs.... easier to stock and produce... but if the instructions aren't good it is sure frustrating... wondering if you have not found some gasket you should have.... good luck....

maybe
I have a set of 38 PDSI/NOS SO44. My book says fits (models 200/M121.940 engine and 230/M180.945 and M180.949. If this helps you 121 is 4 cyl, but m180 is 6cyl. Go figure? Good luck.
