I would be afraid to look at it. The pictures alone had me calculating my bank account!

I didn't know they made an optional cowcatcher for these.

I love this car too. It's interesting that while using an automatic transmission, it has the small brake pedal that would normally go next to a clutch pedal.

Nope - they were all that size then....we had (2) of 'em in those years. W I D E brake pedals are an American deal, CCed by the foreign automakers later.

The only thing I would change are those silly turned down exhaust tips.

It's a beauty all right. I do believe I've seen it on ebay in the past.

I have a 4.5 with real leather. Just had it replaced last month. Looks much better than the mb tex in that car. I'll take some pictures in the spring outside with better lighting.

Actually, that pedal is the washer fluid pump. When you pump that pedal it sprays water on the windshield and activates the wipers.

I think Joe means he had 2 108/109 cars, or at least vintage MBs

This car is sweet. But it isn't my favorite color, that's for sure! Brad, your 108 looks very nice too!

Tomguy,
Thanks. I bought the 4.5 in 1997. The car has most of the factory paint. I had to refinish the seats because the leather was beyond repair. I like the look of the leather but it was big$$$. I have put about 12,000 miles on it. I think it has a better ride than my 230 SL. Anyone that has driven a 4.5 will probably say the same.

Here are some pics. The seats are back in and I am going to get the heal pad in the carpet replaced soon.
