1975 240D engine swap

Looking to see if there is a parts source or list to put a 1983 240D in my 1975 240D body. I know the oil housing is different and looking for information to relocate or? Whats my options? Thanks

You have few options unless you have machine shop on hand to relocate the oil filter. A 74 to 76 240D engine is a direct swap. You could put a 300D motor in there but that's a whole different story.

I don't know but I suspect the filter housing is interchangible from the early to late engine styles.
