What carb is this for?

Can someone tell me what carb this is for? It is a Solex carb, but it is a little different from the Solex on my ponton. I was told that it might be the front carb of a 220Sb. Can someone verify that please?

See http://www.mbzponton.org/valueadded/maintenance/carb3/idle.htm

Thanks.

Don't know for sure but it looks like the rear carb from a 220s. about 1960 or so.

It's not for a ponton 220S. I've got one of those and this carb is different. Maybe the fintail 220S?

It looks like a Solex 28/36, but am not sure. Am at work so I can't check on the 220 cars.

Thanks for checking - I appreciate it. I've got the carb in my hands, so I can easily provide any details you need. The carb only says "Solex" on it, no model number. It does have the following stamped in the carb though - 6267585

Hi Len. It looks like a 34PAITA Solex from a 220Sb. It has the lever for the fuel enrichment instead of a choke. I have a '62 220Sb with the same carb. The one in the picture appears to be a front carb, as it has the connection for the vaccum line. The carb in the picture also has secondaries.

Tom

Thanks Tom. Had a guy on the ponton list tell me the same thing, so that's what I'm going with.

Checked my 62 220Sb and it has different carbs. Don't know why. Mine are Webers, so they must be replacements.

But a suggestion: Google 34 PAITA and if it mlooks like the one in the photos, maybe with some explanation, then you might know with more certainty.
