Here's 2 pics of my mb! Bought it off ebay, got it 2 weeks ago, so far so good! I will soon store it for the winter though, getting cold up here!

Wow that is a beautiful car. Take a few more shots and put it into your gallery.

How does it run?

Wow

You have a real gem there. How beautiful in that color.

Years ago I saw one like that in dark blue glide by on the cobbled streets of Arequipa, in southern Peru. SOPRESA! What a shock to see it there.

Great looking car, I sure wish my '74 had the small bumpers like yours.
Makes me want to go out and wax my car right now!!!

Thank you all for your kind comments! I like the car very much so far! It's not perfect but in very good condition. The interior is nice but I have to figure out how to fix the inner door map pockets that have fallen out. Mechanicaly I will need to replace the valve cover gasket and neutral safety switch and a few other minor things.

On the minus side, I find that the kickdown (or downshift, not sure how it's called) is not very sensitive on this car. (not that I floor the pedal all the time but it seems that once it shifts in 4th gear it stays there even if you need to accelerate fast). I dont know if the other 114 owners have the same experience or if there is a broken switch or something? Thanks for your input!

Beautiful car. On my old 250C 114, you really had to stomp down to engage the kick down switch under the pedal. It's like an old style high beam switch on old US cars. I also recall the carpet / mat getting in the way and preventing the switch from engaging.

I also had to do the neutral safety switch. Busted map pockets goes with the lousy design. I found good ones in a junk yard.

Good Luck!
