WTR - W123 lower steering knuckle ball joint press

I have ball joint tools and a bearing press kit but I understand there is something special needed for this job. Does anyone have one they will loan me or can point me to someone who does it in SW Ohio?

I can send a deposit as needed, please let me know.

Thanks,

Joe

My wife's W123 300TD needs lower ball joints and They look press in. The new part picture confirms this assumption. Any suggestions as to tricks or the best way to go about this change out? Worst case I would take the spindle assemblies to the local machine shop and have them R&R on a press.

Thanks for any help.

I took it to a friend's shop, he put the new one in a freezer and pressed it into a replacement steering knuckle, that was the easy part. I"m having a hell of a time getting the old joint out of the lower control arm so I can install the new steering knuckle and joint. That is definitely a press fit. it appears to be about 3/8' of 360 degree press. A real pain, nothing that has been recommended has worked yet.
