When the infamous M104 leaking head gasket is properly replaced, is the problem solved? Or is there a history of recurrance.

ARJAY, did you have a c-280
repaired or r u just asking? milage on car (curious) I think in archives somebody had to get gasket done twice over but it may have been due to inadequate job making for premature failure. ------------------ 1979 300D 133K miles 1989 300SE 1995 C280 |

It is a '95 C280. The gasket was replaced at 30,500 miles. It now has 85,500 and no problems. Just curious to know if it may happen again. I couldn't locate information in the archives that directly answered this question, although it may be there somewhere.
