W203 C320 drivers seat question
I had the drivers seat removed and replaced to repair to fix a loose seat base on waranty. The drivers seat when set on in the convience menu does not move backward unless it is very far forward. I know that there is an aft limit where this feature does not work, but it seems to be much farther forward that it is now. My question is, can the aft limit be adjusted in the shop? as it is now I am unable to to use this feature and I could before I had the repair made. car is 2002 W203 320 wagon. thanks

If this repair was done on warranty, then taking care of your current problem will be covered under warranty. Don't mess with it, just take it in and have them fix it.
They will probably have to remove the seat. Good luck, |

Try synchronizing the fore/aft motor of the seat:
Run the seat full forward (standing outside of the car ) and continue to hold the switch in the forward position for about 5 seconds (you may hear a slight "click" during this time, that means it's done, then relaese the switch), then do the same thing but run the seat all the way to the rear. See if it works normally after that. Gilly

Thanks for the help I tried reindexing the seat today, does not seem to help. Seat functions correctly except for it to work it needs to be to close to the wheel for a 5"11" guy to drive. I was at the aft limit before I took it in but now it seems to be just to far forward. I will call the shop but don't expect they will do much. Thanks again you guys.

They may have to go "into" the seat computer with the shop computer to "desynchronize" the seat before it will synchronize properly. I thought of that after I had posted my last post on this thread.
