I am planning on changing out the serpentine belt on my '95 E320 this weekend. I have gone through the procedure of removing the fan shrould sections and it looks like the next part to remove is the fan. Is it just held on by the allen screws (looks like 4)? Would someone please explain to me how to handle the tensioner after I get this far. I have been unable to find the procedure on this site.
thanks in advance engatwork |

There is a single 8mm allen bolt in the front center of the fan for removal. You need two specail tools for this...One is a thin 8mm allen with a long handle and one is a hook shaped tool for holding the pulley. Snap-on sells the kit.
