You'll have to beat me in the bidding I was just going to post about that very engine.

I have a couple choices for upping the power in my G320. The 3.6L M104 is one option, the other is a bolt on twin turbo kit from the UK that I ran across.

I think the AMG engine will be the less expensive route. It is a long block with the intake and exhaust manifolds. It includes the fuel rail and injectors, the brutally expensive throttle body is there as well. The engine is a 1996 model.

So, I wonder if it will mate with my 1995 3.2L electronics? As stripped as the engine is, I optomistically doubt that it would be a big deal to run it with the standard 3.2L electronics. Anybody know for sure? Would I be better off trying to pick up a '95 C36 ECM? There may be a couple OBD sensors that do not get used but who cares?

Does anybody know if the sensors (coolant temp, TB position, crank sensor?, etc) are different from 95-96? Naturally I was hoping for a plug and play situation.

Any insights????

I just bought my '94 280Ge from a guy in Cary. Its a little red bugger, did it ever come through your shop?

Nope, aint had a G wander in as of yet.

I wanna MOG. Why? Dunno, just seems like a good idea. If nothing else, no one in my neighborhood has one.

I participated in the install of a 95 3.6 104 into a 94 wagon not too long ago, pretty much plug and play, just make sure to swap flywheel, crank sensors and EA'a. The cross over pipe is super high dollar as well. The fix for that to swap the valve covers.

Tried to run my stock 3,2l with the AMG(VDO) ECU. Looks absolutly the same except there is one additional plug in the connector. the 3.2l would start and stumble but not really run. fortunately my ECU was not the problem it was the OVP. Still this is a great engine for that price. i am in Austria- too much hassle to get it here.

No ****. To be honest I really doubt there is that much difference in power between the 2 anyway. The wagon that BTS built was fast as all hell with the stock ecu and the stock (to the wagon) x-over pipe. I think the major gains are in the add'l cubes, cam and exhaust work.

You shoulda seen the look on the ricers face when the thing hits the NOS and literally blew past him about 60 out from the launch. Damn I wish I had that on film. There is nothing like a 100 shot to wake one up.

Joe P: I may be going to Raleigh soon. I'd love to come up and meet with you and see the NOS install on the 3.6 M104 AMG.

I have the 1988 wagon that I did a 3.6 M104 power train install.

That seller said that he had a local buyer, maybe the deal fell through. You would need the computers, MAS, Accessories, etc.

In case you're wondering the car needs. Hood, right fender, front bumper, core support and some labor.
