DAMNIT! Parts help, mods, somebody, please!!!
Hey,
I ordered a Water Pump for my 1994 Mercedes C280 and had a friend come out to install it today. He ended up having to go home and will come back and finish the job in the morning, since he didn't bring all of the necessary tools, however, we have another problem. I ordered the pump from Mercedes, however there is an extra "tiny" hole/socket in the pump, which the last pump doesn't have. How can I fill this??? Does anyone have suggestions on how to plug an extra hole in the water pump? Evidentally Mercedes "upgraded" the water pump and the darn thing has an extra hole in it. It's not a big hole, it's one of the smaller ones. Help! Thanks. |

There are two different water pumps for your car, depending on engine #. Click on FastLane above and follow the selection process and you'll even get a picture of each. Sounds like the wrong pump, but then again maybe not.

Thats a weep hole ...Its suppose to be there allows for drainage in the event the seal becomes overloaded.
