Electric Window Poroblems

HEY PEOPLE,
I have had my 300e for over 2 years. when i bought it the drivers rear window did not work. The window switch was busted and the motor frozen. I got a new window regulator and switch and now it pops the fuse when I try to use the window. I know the regulator is good(its new), and it works just perfect if I use a switch from any of the other windows. The (bad?) switch pops the fuse for any other window its plugged into. I got this switch from performance products. So far I have gotten THREE switches from them, all different part #s, and all popping fuses. I am stumped, anu gurus out there know if the older 300s had different window switches? I pulled out all my good switches and they're all different part #s too. they all start with 124 obvoisly but the last two digits are different. my good switches are 2 45k,and 1 46k. the new switches are 47k's or 48k's.

PLEASE SOMEBODY HELP!

I JUST GOT THE 95 HEADLIGHTS AND A AMG OR ZENDER BUMPER. I'LL POST NEW PICS LATER. GOT TO http://www.cardomain.com/id/shemdogg

LATER

You need to check the harness inside the pillow. The wires break and cause the problem you described.

I think he meant "pillar" as in the pillar that resides between the door and windshield...

Check the harness between the door and the "A" pillar. Years of lateral stress from opening and closing the door may have created problems in that area...broken wiring or broken insulation that could have exposed wires (i.e. shorts that would blow fuses).

I wouldn't suspect the console, since the harness doesn't really move around in that area

The (front) window switches on my '91 300e keeps popping the fuse. I've replaced the fuse in location "G" couple of times and it pops the fuse when I try to use the front windows.

Shemdogg, how did you fix your problem?

Thanks!

Bobby
