Unhappy car ran good then

i had ground out my car a friend of mine and myself went to jump start my car touched cables and next thing you know i had to replace ignition switch it started and ran fine for about 15 minutes and i then drove it for about a mile and the car just started to sputer and die then i tryed to restart and it would not start it just started popping from the exhaust like back fire and would not start just keeps turning over its a 93 400sel any help would be appreciated thank you!

OVP!

Or more specifically, fuse on top of the OVP, is my guess. It's found near the firewall, under the bonnet, on top of a little box between the size of a lighter and a cigarette packet, usually under a plastic lid.

I reckon this because:

A) It very often blows when people jump start cars

B) Without it, it runs very poorly, just like how you describe (although, it mainly effects cold running)
