Weird Windows
My daughters called from college and said that the windows on their 1980 300SD that they have will not open. Nor will the sun roof open. The fuses are all good. They said that the windows make a noise that sounds like they are trying to work. So it sounds like everything is getting power. We are in Florida, so they are not frozen.
Does any body have any ideas on this one. Thanks, Treff |

I wonder if they spilled something on the console!
All the controls are there. You have to clean all the switches with contact cleaner.
BTW, my son just called me from college. He has a dead battery! Kids...

I do not know either but...
ask them about the spill just in case...It sounds weird that also the sunroof is not working. Only connection is the console switches.

Status Update:
I found out that both the windows and the sun roof are on relays under the dash. The are separate relays for the windows and for the sunroof. They are about 1" cubes. Does any body have any idea where to look specifically or even which side of the dash? |
