Pipe is shot between muffler and cat on 300e. NAPA has MB muffler & pipe from cat back for $250.00.
Is it a good price for self install or should I try the local muffler? Can I order somewhere else at better price? Thanks for any input...MRH |

In some cases they will be stuck on really tight and will need a torch or cutting wheel to take off. Seek a pro.

I bought mine from Impco last year for $175. Of course, that was before the PatsShop was online. I suggest you check there as well. As for the procedure, mine was rusted on REALLY tight, as Benzmac said. Had to cut it off with the Dremel and a cutting wheel. During the process, I wished I had gone to a pro. Afterward, however, I'm proud of having done the job myself. It's just a matter of how much time you want to spend and how many bad words you're prepared to say. If you do this, buy new bolts as well because you won't be able to reuse the old ones.
