i own a '67 230S... i noticed a knocking sound from my engine and figured that it was from one of the cylinders. i unplugged the first spark plug, started the car back up, and the noise went away. what do you think it is and what would be the best and least expensive thing to do? maybe rebuild it? please help. thanx.

You will probably have to take the engine apart and check the crankshaft and wrist pin connections. It could be at either end where the knock is. Good luck.
