Removing brake shoes, 1958 219
Hi. In order to replace the front brake cylinders on my 1958 219 I need to remove the brake shoes. My problem is the fastener to the backing plate, in the center of the brake shoes, which appears to also be some sort of an automatic adjuster. How do I remove what seems to be an overly complex fastener? I have already taken out the pin that is fastened behind the backing plate with a cotter key. What is next? I will soon run out of four lettered words.

There is a chilton's repair manual for imported cars which shows a lot of detail for the fintail. It may cover ponton bodies too for many parts. I suggest you try to get one from the internet.
