GLA 250 Reliability?
Hey all,
I'm in the market for a new daily driver. I'm doing quite a bit of freeway commuting now which is a big ask for my '83 240D. I like the practicality and relative fuel efficiency of the GLA 250 but am curious about its reliability. If anyone owns or has owned one I'd love to hear your experience. Also, I like to do most of the maintenance, but have no idea if this is an easy car to work on. I'm mostly looking at '15-'17 with less than 60k miles on the clock. Thanks. |

Get a 2015 GLK350. I put the lovely Ms engatwork in one a few years ago (had 80k miles on it when we purchased it) and she just turned over 227,000 miles. She averages 10,000 miles/3 months mostly interstate travel. Averages a good 24 mpg. Nothing but plugs, air/cabin filters, brake fluid changes, rear diff fluid changes, oil/filter change, tranny service and tires needed to date. I did go ahead and change out the crank position sensor as a preventive measure.
I've only had one of the turbo fours in the shop and can't speak for the reliability of it but I would think with proper maintenance it should go for awhile.

Hey Jim,
Thanks for the input. I'll take a look into those. Mileage is surprising for an SUV. |
