SRS system in '93 300E
I recently purchased a 1993 300E 2.8. I commute 50 miles each way. Sometimes the SRS light will blink randomly at intermittent times. Sometimes I will travel the full 50 miles with it never coming on? Any idea what is going on with this SRS system?

Next time it happens, pay attention to whether the light coming on is related to steering wheel position. Usually, intermittant SRS light on comes from problems with the slip ring contacts inside the steering wheel. If so, you'll notice that the light may come on with the steering wheel straight ahead, but will go out when it's turned, or vice versa.
It's a pretty cheap fix.

The SRS system has computer memory, so you can have someone access it for codes that should be stored.
The most likely problem that allows the light to blink is voltage supply too high OR too low.
