Epc (parts catalog) works for all benzes . WIS only for later cars 90s on. Steep learning curve. Runs in a virtual windows system, usually win 7 which is included. I have used WIS for our W210. Does have step by step, if you can find the right section.

Graham, the post I have concerns is about the brake push rod fell out. Title is: The brake booster push rod felled out.

Hi Graham, Thanks for your post. I appreciated it. I just got the Mercedes/SMART WIS ASRA & EPC Dealer Service Repair Workshop Manual up and running. Wow, there is a lot of stuff out there. I am still trying to understand the overall program. It takes some time learning this stuff. So far, I have not seen the brake booster push rod in the program. I felt like a kid learning all over again.

No, nothing like that. Well, actually they do require you to log in. They all use username: admin and password: 12345
![]() You should try it. Worthwhile just for the EPC.

Yes, I understand what you telling me, Graham. Like I mentioned earlier, the WIS opened just fine. The problem I am having now is to locate the issue on the brake push rod. Perhaps, you could show me?

![]() I had to look up your car. 1994 Mercedes E320 wagon. It might help if I had the VIN so we get car-specific info. You could send that to me by PM or email if you don't want to post it here.

As you likely know, I did respond. I have now figured how to use cutepdf to copy the WIS sections. If you have got to them, I won't bother. They may not be of much help.
To access them, I downloaded cutepdf.exe off their site to the host OS (windows 7 in my case). I copied it to the desktop. Then I opened the virtual machine desktop. Then just cut and pasted cutepdf.exe from host to the desktop. Then ran cutepdf to install it. It now shows up as a printer. So you just print from WIS with destination the desktop. The files can then be dragged to the host desktop. You do have to have Guest Additions installed - that should have come with the EPC/WIS/ASRA download you purchased. I don't really know what I am doing the VM! There may be a better way! But this is how I did it in the past.
