M104 Timing Chain Tensioner Leaking

My timing chain tensioner on my M104 is leaking between the screwplug and the main housing and I'm not exactly sure why. When I installed the chain tensioner a few months ago, I replaced both washers with brand new ones and reassembled the unit. I've installed many M103 chain tensioners and they've never leaked, but the M104 one is slightly different in terms of the pieces that go together.

I notice in the manuals that it states to use a grease between the screwplug and the aluminum seal for it. What kind of grease would I use here? Does it help seal the cap better to prevent leaking?

Are there any other tips or hints regarding installing the M104 chain tensioner before I go about taking it apart, replacing both washers, and reassembling it again? It's only leaking from the screwplug, not from the big washer to the timing cover.
