W124 estate fuel strainer

Hello, i have a question about the estate fuel strainer, is it in the middle of the tank, that is opened with the 22m allen key? There is no hose coming out of it though.

Yes that would be the strainer. Before removing you will need to empty the tank of almost all the fuel. You may want to do a search for additional info.
