Question No juice to starter 1994 e320 wagon-- bypass security system

Hey all. So our 1994 e320 wagon isn't starting. I've read it can be the fuse , neutral safety switch, and the security system.

I cut the NSS wires and tied the purple ones together. Same thing.
I read hear about a "14 pin connector at the ATA" How-to: Disable alarm on a 1993+ W124 post number 23.

What and where is the ATA ? I haven't found anything in my searching.

To just jump the starter and make sure it works , I am trying to use the 3 wire block that is by the battery. How do i do it again ? I can't remember. I read Connect a wire from the battery to middle . But that did not do anything. And the middle wire is hot anyway.

Thanks !

ATA = Anti-Theft Alarm. The connector is located beneath the passengers footrest.

There is a connector (X27) mounted on the firewall right next to the filler cap of the master brake cylinder reservoir. The center pin goes to the starter solenoid. Putting 12 volts on that pin should activate the starter.

Replace fuse 5, or and fuse 9 in front fuse box, don't just look at it it may have a very thin crack across it! when those fuses don't have a good contact it wont start

Thanks all. Good info. Got it going. I replaced fuse 5 . We had tested it with ohm meter and it was good. So i think that taking it out and putting it back in reset the alarm helping more so than the new fuse? Does it reset the alarm taking out fuse 5 as if you unlocked the car with the key? Or maybe it was the new fuse...

We will see if it gives more trouble and then disable ata next
